Welcome to the Mt. Diablo Unified School District Online Education Center
"Adult education programs verify that learning is a lifelong process. The more we continue to learn after we complete our formal education, the more we are each able to help the children in our lives."

High Quality Professional Development Courses
MDUSD's Online Education Center provides cost-effective, high quality professional development courses. Our district is among the first in the nation to address the challenges of providing state-required professional development with a unique online program designed by teachers for teachers.
The MDUSD Online Education Center offers courses that fulfill the state mandate that districts provide programs for teachers to complete new California credentialing requirements. In addition, our edCenter offers varied opportunities for other professional development that meets the highest standards.
The edCenter combines cost-effective, high quality courses with the convenience and flexibility of anytime, anywhere learning. University approved courses meet standards set by the California Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA)-Induction Program, and are optimized for classroom application.
Courses are designed and taught by practicing content experts from within the district and throughout the state, and are open to all teachers who wish to earn professional development hours and/or continuing education units. Teachers do not need to be a part of the BTSA-IP to enroll in MDUSD Online Education Center courses. We are excited to explore this innovative approach to professional development for our teachers, as well as educators across the nation who choose the MDUSD edCenter for their continued learning.
What Students are Saying
"Online Teacher Education courses let me work on my own schedule, with the support of an experienced K-12 instructor. Rather than feeling isolated, the collaboration with other teaching professionals allows me to reflect on information presented, examine issues, share ideas and experiences, and integrate the course content into the classroom."
