District partners who elect to join the course development partnership program can take advantage of, at no cost to the partner, an online course that trains their authors in online course development. The online course training takes between 8 to 12 hours to complete and requires authors to have prior experience in course development, either in classroom or other forum. Course authors must have knowledge of Microsoft Word in order to use our course-authoring tool.

Our training guides an author through the teaching flow of instructional activities and how to create an effective online environment. Course authors learn how to provide students multiple paths to a rich learning environment. Besides exploring the course development process, and learn how to put course content online, authors reflect on the important considerations of what should and shouldn't be placed online.
