Pilot Programs

Our pilot program is designed to insure courses developed under our partnership with K-12 districts are of the highest quality. Prior to being offered to the public, each of our courses is piloted. We welcome teachers and administrators to participate in this program. Course tuition is free-of-charge.

The pilot program presents a course immediately after its development by our partners. The pilot program will give us input and information about the course's ability to meet the stated objectives and standards, workload appropriateness, subject matter suitability, and course flow. It also provides the first "run through" for both instructor and course developer to identify areas that need modification, correction, or deletion. edPal and our course development district partners then have the opportunity to make any adjustments needed before the course is presented to the public.

When a course is ready to be piloted, interested students are invited to participate in this program. Pilot participants will be selected on a first-come basis. Students can apply to the pilot course of their choice under the Pilot Courses link. Before a student can enroll online, he/she must register for an account first.

We schedule a pilot course immediately after edPal receives the completed course from the partner developer so the course can be offered to the public within one to two months after its completion. Pilot course sessions/schedules will be displayed in our Pilot Courses link.
