edPal is a social benefit organization dedicated to ensuring a world-class education for our youth. It's a position we share with our innovative partners, which include district leaders, educators and education researchers. With today's schools facing new accountability requirements under the No Child Left Behind Act, changing state mandates and dwindling budgets, edPal strives to:

edPal's Solution for K-12 Partners

edPal provides an infrastructure that helps school districts create online education centers that generate a new source of revenue. Each online education center is designed to meet the district's specific needs and empower school advancement from within. edPal believes that the knowledge and skills needed to provide the highest quality education are best developed and adopted from within the K-12 communities in an environment the supports collaboration and sharing of best practices and programs from its teachers. edPal lets districts focus on education while it develops, hosts, supports and administers the online education centers. In addition to providing the technology platform, edPal coaches course authors from districts to develop courses for online delivery, trains and manages online course instructors and develops, produces and maintains courses online. Finally, edPal helps districts to develop channels of distribution for courses, giving them the potential for a new, ongoing stream of revenue.

Online Education Center Only Partnership Program

Not all of our district partners need to engage in course development program at the start. It is our recommendation that districts desirous to join our program to first enter into an online education center partnership program. Under this program, edPal will develop and customize an online education center for our district partners. Our partners can elect to offer the complete catalog of courses developed by all of our district partners or a targeted number of courses based on its selection criteria. Our district partners can utilize their online education center to generate new income for the districts and/or to offer cost effective, quality courses for their own teacher and staff development.

Course Development Partnership Program

Our district partners who have prior success in development of quality education programs or have demonstrated competency in development of quality courses will be eligible to join our course development partnership program. Under this program, we will provide to our district partners and their designated course authors training in instructional design and online course development process. Our training is comprehensive and no prior online course design experience is required of our partners. Our course development quality guidelines are strictly under the direction of an editorial board comprising of leaders from our district partners. edPal will also assist our district partners in the planning and execution of marketing programs to help our partners reach the intended target audience of their courses and to maximize income stream from an appropriate array of distribution channels.
