    About Us
    Campbell Union School District
    (www.campbellusd.org)

    Our Mission
Campbell Union School District, a daring and caring community, launches all learners on their voyage as responsible navigators, to discover their potential and chart their course through an ever-changing and global future.

    Education Beyond the Expected
From preschool to eighth grade, our teachers focus on high academic standards and achievement for every student in our schools. More than 7,300 students attend our award-winning schools, and they score high on state achievement tests. We offer traditional educational programs as well as unique programs, such as a parent participation school, a charter school, home schooling, online professional development and more.

The district is located in Santa Clara County, California, and includes the communities of Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, San Jose, Santa Clara, Saratoga, and some unincorporated segments of the county.

    EdCenter

Online Education Center provides high quality professional development to teachers
Faced with new mandates and rising costs, Campbell Union School District is the first in the nation to address the challenges of providing state-required professional development with a unique online program designed by teachers for teachers. The CUSD Online Education Center fulfills the state mandate that districts provide programs for teachers to complete new California credentialing requirements.

The program combines cost-effective, high quality courses with the convenience and flexibility of anytime, anywhere learning. State and university approved courses meet standards set by California's Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) program, and are optimized for classroom application. Courses are designed and taught by practicing content experts from CUSD and the New Teacher Center at University of California, Santa Cruz, a national resource dedicated to teacher development and the support of programs and practices that promote excellence in America's schools.

Courses also are open to teachers who wish to earn professional development hours and/or continuing education units. Teachers do not need to be part of the BTSA program to enroll in the CUSD Online Education Center.
